Pilot Error

This, Pilot Error article, although not a bona fide light aircraft account, deals with basic errors In any man flying – discipline and the unexpected in times of unusual stress. The situations dealt with in this article are fact – although they might sound like fiction! Remedies are left open to the reader.

I suppose you could put a lot of the things that happened to the Squadron down to finger trouble . . .

We hadn’t been having the happiest of times in North Africa and over the temperamental Mediterranean, what with one thing and another.

It wasn’t the aircraft; we’d taken a lot of flak from the Yanks about our cloth-covered bombers, those lovely old Wellingtons which did their best to get you there and back – wherever “there” was.
