This detailing of a specific region’s recession is about the only hard fact emerging from the reports – and reports of reports – flowing in spasmodically from around the world, on the “quiet period” in the aircraft sales industry.

Europe is having its most recessive period in some decades, according to AADR’s sources. Australia’s distributors and dealers remain optimistic but admit that sales could be brisker, especially with 1981 models allocated and a backlog of older models still to be sold.
