Innovative Supplementary Products for Bell 206 from John Cameron Aviation Excites Industry!

John Cameron Aviation at Bankstown is currently manufacturing and marketing a range of innovative add-ons for the Bell 206 helicopter which is creating considerable interest within the helicopter industry, locally and off-shore.

The company, with John Cameron at the helm, has been in the aircraft maintenance and rebuilding business for eighteen years now, specialising since 1976 in helicopter maintenance, and special-purpose equipment design and production. The facility is DofA approved for maintenance of most light helicopters, and the manufacture and distribution of aircraft components.

The company has set the pace in the development of a long-range fuel tank which will fit any Bell 206JetRanger equipped with high skids. Of a lightweight rugged fibreglass design, the tank is mounted underneath the belly. In addition to high skid undercarriage, aircraft to be fitted with the auxiliary tank require three-point cargo hook attachment points. l=light testing of the tank was carried out by John Cameron Aviation using Helimuster’s JetRanger VH-BLI in early 1981.
