Once again in this issue balloons and airliners dominate the new allocations. Twenty six balloons have been registered during the period covered, mosthaving been in the country for quite some time but only now being put on the register, including a South African-made Flamboyant AX8, JOZ. Eight new Boeing 737s for Ansell, three new Boeing 737s and two Jetstreams for Australian Airlines and another Boeing 7 4 7 for Qantas hlake up the airliner allocations.

Three ex New Zealand helicopters also appear on the listing including Hughes HED. This aircraft was built in May 1972 and delivered to the Sierra Leone Defence Force in 1973. It operated with them using three different registrations, one civil and two military before being imported into New Zealand by Winged Hunters for live deer recovery during 1978. Another import from New Zealand is Tiger Moth NVT for the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Nowra. A New Zealand-built Tiger it first saw service with the Royal New Zealand Air Force as NZ1485 before becoming an instructional airframe for training airframe fitters. It was civilianized as ZK-DAM in 1969 and after fifteen years of service was shipped to Australia in June 1986. It has now been painted in Australian Navy colours and joins the growing fleet of the RAN Historic Flight.
