Haa Opens First Office Rotor Torque

Following an overwhelming note of support from members, the Helicopter Association of Australia has affiliated with the General Aviation Association and has set up its national headquarters in the GAA building at Bankstown Airport. An administrator has been hired and it is expected that this will greatly improve the flow of information within the HAA which will enable them among other things, to prepare responses to ARPs and other DofA policy changes in conjunction with the GAA which will give the DofA a well-considered joint response from two organizations which represent a large percentage of the aviation industry in Australia.

Evergreen Closes Sydney Office

Following the continued downturn in offshore helicopter work worldwide, Evergreen Helicopters Inc. , have decided to close their office at Bankstown Airport and transfer all activities of this office to their headquarters in Mac Minnville, Oregon. It is understood that their wholly owned subsidiary, Commercial Aviation Pty Ltd will remain a registered company in Australia but will remain inactive in the foreseeable future.
