Two factors more than any others appear to directly affect a used light aeroplane’s market price and operating or hire costs – vintage and equipment (in particular avionics).

Whereas in the area of high-performance singles, when it comes to the name of Beechcraft, the A36 Bonanza is the best known to the contemporary Australian GA pilot, some of the best value flying that this writer has done has been in older four seat Beechcrafts, namely a 833 Debonair and the E33A Bonanza.
