• In a move welcomed by owners of antique and replica aircraft, the US FAA has reduced from 12 to 3 inches, the permitted minimum vertical dimensions of tail or fuselage registration letters on aircraft with design, structural and operating speeds less than 180 kts.

• The Singapore Air Force has received the final TA-4S Skyhawk trainers from the Lockheed Aircraft Service Company. A total of 43 surplus USN A-4Bs were involved in the programme which saw 40 delivered as A-4S attack aircraft while three were converted to TA-4S trainers. This latter version was accomplished by the introduction of a second A-4 cockpit into the airframe and extending the fuselage by 28 inches.
