Australia’s Bicentennial Air Show Building Thrust

The word is getting around that the Australian Bicentennial Air Show and Aerospace Expo at RAAF Richmond, NSW, between 12-16 October will be a once only chance to display the full range of historical, warbird and general aviation aircraft in Australia.

The Air Show’s recently appointed aviation display manager, Phil Astley, is being inundated with offers of static and flying display aircraft from all over Australia, and overseas.

“We are looking at having at Richmond the greatest collection of aeroplanes ever brought together in the one place in Australia, as would befit the largest aviation event ever seen in the southern hemisphere. The real problem is going to be finding space and time to exhibit them all,” said Mr Astley.
