Boeing Put the 7j7 on the Back Burner:

Boeing have literally ceased development on their 7J7 prop airliner as market interest in the new aircraft wanes.

A contributing factor is also a relative stabilization internationally in fuel prices, something that is not expected to change in the foreseeable future, and an unwillingness of airlines to commit to exactly what size they expect the 7J7 to eventually be.
