Aaai General Meeting

The latest general meeting of the Association was hosted by Australian Airlines and attended by a large number of members. They were briefed on matters of current interest, including a briefing by Graeme Taylor and John Caporn of DITAC. They were later joined by a group of senior officers from RAAF’s Support Command led by Air Vice Marshal Alan Reed, the Air Officer Commanding, for informal discussions and a tour of Australian Airlines simulators and maintenance facilities.

Future Directions Working Party

The Association has established a Working Party under the chairmanship of Peter Lister of Hawker de Havilland and with membership consisting of Ray Sunderland, British Aerospace Australia; Jim Belshaw, Aymever Pty Ltd; and lan Meibusch. Executive Director, to identity and suggest ways of overcoming the problems besetting the Australian aerospace industry at present.
