Aviation Regulatory Review Committee
At its Meeting of 16 March 1988, the New South Wales branch of the ALAA was addressed by Mr Ray McNamara, Regional Director, South Australia/Northern Territory Region of the Department of Transport and Communications. Mr McNamara is a member of the three person committee established by the Minister for Transport and Communications, Senator Gareth Evans, to examine and report on the laws that control and regulate aviation in Australia.
In addition to Mr McNamara, the Committee also comprises Mr Ian Bidmeade, a lawyer with extensive experience in the review of government regulations and Captain Colin Watt, a retired Ansett pilot with a lifetime of flying experience and an active interest in aviation regulation.
