Airtest – Beechjet
Beechcraft Beechjet 400
The Beechjet project is the culmination of a search by Beechcraft to find a worthy step up successor to their very popular King Air.
Beechcraft owners have always shown great allegiance to the product and whilst the Company’s successful flagship outsells all the other turbo-prop aircraft in the world combined, research showed that at least six percent of these King Air owners, each year, wished to traverse their longer business flights in less time and consequently upgraded to jet equipment.
The dollar value spent by this six percent was too great for the Company to ignore and let fall into the hands of the competition. So by 1985 Beechcraft was actively looking for a jet project to add to its family.
