This is another section of the industry that is experiencing a buoyant time at the moment with an unprecedented number of turbine twins entering the country.

Beech King Air 8200 N3456W c/n BB-964 arrived in Port Hedland from Bali on October 9th. Eventual destination for the King Air, which was being ferried by Southern Cross Aviation, was Perth. N3456W was later registered VH-HTU to local charter operator Nester P/L. King Air 200 N3228X flew into Sydney from Nadi on October 2nd and later in the month was displayed at the Bicentennial Air Show. Norfolk Pacific Aviation have also added former NSCA King Air 200 VH-NSS to their fleet. It is planned that the King Air fly with Norfolk Pacific as VH-NIH. In New Zealand the resident King Air population is fast disappearing overseas. On August 14th King Air 8200 ZK-WIL arrived in Sydney after its transtasman crossing. It was expected that it would be sold to an Australian operator, however on October 1st it departed for Pago Pago and Honolulu. ZK-WIL has since been registered N1842Y with US dealer Chrisair. Also crossing the Tasman in early August was King Air C90 ZK-UPA. This aircraft was still resident at Sydney in late November. Finally in mid October King Air 300 ZK-KSL c/n FA-105 departed for Australia. It is believed that this aircraft will be registered VH-KDV with a Brisbane based operator.
