Meteor, Sabre & Mirage in Australian Service:
Stewart Wilson This is the second of our Australian Airpower Collection series and deals with the three jet fighters that took the RAAF from the post WW2 era right through till the late eighties. As in the first book in this series, on the Spitfire, Kittyhawk & Mustang, this latest edition fully accounts for the interesting development period of each of the three jets in addition to examining in great detail the modifications that were required to make the aircraft suitable for RAAF service.
As usual, a full analysis is provided on the history of each individual aircraft and what it’s fate was, while the more than 150,000 word text also takes the reader through many episodes of history involving each type that has, till now, had little publicity. Supported with over 300 pictures, including 63 colour plates, this 200+ page book represents excellent value no matter how you look at it.
