Neptune Arrives – More to Follow

It is said that the Air Traffic Controllers nearly fell out of the tower in shock when advised that a civil registered Lockheed Neptune was inbound and on its way to Perth, WA.

Whatever the case, Townsville on November 1,. th saw Lockheed Neptune N54317 arrive en route from America. On 17th November the ex US Navy SP-2H (previously designated a P2V-7) made the 10 hour direct flight to Perth, WA.
