Airport Leases: ‘Caravan Deregulation’
It’s not so long ago that East-West Airlines provided check-in facilities through caravans parked outside the domestic terminals at Australia’s major airports.
That, of course, was in the days before East-West was ushered into the Ansett fold. But a number of interested parties – including some proposed new entrant airlines and the Federal Airports Corporation itself – have suggested that conditions might not be much better when domestic deregulation takes off in Australia on 1 November, 1990.
