Australian Aviation College Set For Growth
Australian Aviation College Gearing Up for Potential Expansion
I recently had the opportunity to revisit the Australian Aviation College and to see first-hand, the significant developments that are taking place.
The Australian Aviation College has been conducting professional pilot training courses at Parafield Airport in South Australia for several years. The course actually evolved from the original Qantas cadet course and was developed in conjunction with the then Australian Department of Aviation.
The AAC was at that time one of only two approved integrated training schools where flying training and ground studies were carefully aligned so as to be mutually supportive. In 1986, the College was innovative in developing an Associate Diploma course for pilots – in conjunction with the South Australian Institute of Technology. Since then, the commercial course has been continuously developed and refined to cater for specific customer needs. As a consequence, the college is currently conducting specially tailored courses for Malaysian Airlines and has attracted interest from several international airlines.
