Airport Operators Council International – Asia Pacific Basin Regional Airports Conference
The AOCI Regional Airports Conference, held in Adelaide from 8-11 May, was well attended by senior executives from throughout the Asia Pacific Region. The event was excellently hosted by Adelaide Airport under the leadership of Airport General Manager Jack Moffat1md the consensus among delegates was that the FAG had responded particularly well to the task. The organisation of over 120 delegates from around the globe was no mean feat.
The conference unfortunately failed to provide sufficient in-depth coverage of any particular issue and although presentations were generally of a high standard there appeared to be little opportunity, or time allocated, for debate on contemporary issues, which would have been of interest to participants. A workshop or two may not have gone amiss, for example, on the development of nonaeronautical revenue, a topic which evinced an above average level of interest from all of the delegates.
