The Last Straw?
At a time when virtually every General Aviation operator in the country is up in arms over the seemingly inexhaustible cost increases being imposed upon them by the CAA and FAC an event occurred in April that has literally left the industry dumfounded.
That event was the awarding of an Australian International Development Assistance Bureau tender for what is essentially an aeromedical clinic service in Kiribati to the Civil Aviation Authority which had bid in direct competition to a number of Australian GA operators.
