Aaal’s Paris Air Show Report

AAAl’s involvement in the Paris Air Show 1989 commenced well before the Show itself. AAAl’s first task was to help create the environment within the higher level of Governments (both State and Federal) and within member companies which would ensure a significant high class representation of the Australian aerospace capabilities and capacities at this significant world event.

Government Involvement

Within Government this task was made a lot easier because a number of officers within Austrade, DITAC, Defence and the various State Government Departments charged with industry development were already committed to helping the Australian aerospace industry. In particular, Austrade devoted considerable resources, from Canberra, Melbourne, Paris and posts around the world to make this show their biggest trade promotion of the year. The combined efforts of all the planners came to peak fruition in the visit of the Australian Prime Minister to the Australian Stand at the Show.
