Heliflite Training Moves
Bankstown Airport-based Heliflite Training School has what is believed to be the only Bell Jetranger available for private hire in Australia. Chartered out at $700 per hour, it forms part of the school’s fleet of two Jetrangers, an Enstrom and three Robinson R22s – a HP and two Betas.
Heliflite Training School was formed when former Heliflite instructor Bill Miller and ex Royal Australian Navy chopper pilot Tony Drover purchased the Heliflite training and charter business from its founder Lyndsay Edmonds. The sales operation remained in Edmonds’ hands. Heliflite had previously moved its training operation to Bankstown Airport from its original home at Castle Hill, on Sydney’s north western boundary when suburban build-up started to limit its operations.
