New Ems Chopper Service for Nsw

A new emergency medical service helicopter operation was launched by the NSW Minister for Health, Mr Peter Collins, in early November. Called Child Flight it uses an MBB 80105 CBS helicopter and specialises in the quick transport of neo-natal children from within 300kms of Sydney to larger city and regional hospitals where specialist care and facilities are available.

The helicopter will be based at the Childrens Hospital at Camperdown, an inner Sydney suburb, once noise problems with local councils are overcome.
