Canadian Aeromotive have developed a turbocharged three cylinder, four stroke 90hp engine for light aircraft use. Called the CAM Turbo 90, it produces 90hp at 5,300rpm with max rpm being 6,500, and weighs only 65kgs without propeller. Fuel consumption is claimed to be 10 litres per hour at 75% cruise, which is about half that of the 45kg heavier 85hp Continental. Certified to FAA FAR33 standard as a general aviation engine, it is available for $US5,885.

Sentinel Changes to Piston Powerplant:
The Seabird Aviation Sentinel has commenced flight trials with the British Emdair piston engine in place of the Norton rotary that has been used previously.
Primary reason for the change was that full international aviation standard certification had still not been achieved on the Norton, while noise and overheating problems were also deterrents to its long term use.
