New Entrant Gate Priority Released:

The DTC released on May 22 the priority of order for new entrant airlines seeking access to existing Ansett and Australian Airlines gateways at airports where common user terminals do not exist.

Priority was given as Compass, Trans Continental and Southern Cross (in that order) though the aviation support minister, Bob Collins, stressed that this was not an official view as to which carriers were most likely to succeed as new entrant airlines in a deregulated environment.
