Trap for an Unwary Player

Since gaining my Night VMC Rating I had been making good use of the flexibility it offered.

Once having got used to the idea, I was actually choosing to fly my Bankstown based Cessna 182 in the dark rather than in daylight. It had a lot of advantages. Not only were my business trips more comfortable, surprisingly, but with less traffic to watch out for and navaids for guidance, it was a lot more relaxing. And good old Flight Service, with not so much to do themselves at night, really gave me the VIP treatment. On top of all this, it left my days free for appointments. So with the aircraft equipped with ADF and VOR, I felt I had everything going for me.

On this particular trip I was venturing further afield than usual.
