Ansett are staking much on the introduction of the BAe 146. For the passenge_rs, the primary appeal will be their luxury five-abreast seating configuration which will be sold at a standard economy fare. East-West has also wisely adopted this spacious configuration for its new 146-300s.

The New Zealand Experience
This is the second of a three part series examining the effects of domestic airline deregulation.
