The Boeing 767 has gone from strength to strength in Australian service.

First employed by Ansett as their flagship on domestic operations it has fulfilled an even more crucial role for Qantas in giving them an extremely flexible cost effective aircraft on routes which were too thin for 7 4 7 services. Its ability to maintain these routes and open up others from smaller airports plainly not suited for a larger aircraft, has opened up new areas of tourism both within and outside Australia.
