Rnzaf 727 Flies Mercy Mission

The RNZAF’s 22 year old Boeing 727 returned to New Zealand early last month (October) after ferrying 1,300 refugees from the Middle East to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.

It was an unscheduled exercise for the Air Force’s VIP aircraft which had originally set off for London with World War II veterans and Air Force personnel for ceremonies marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
