Civil Register Update
Register Review
Thirty-one aircraft make up the new allocations section this month. Even though four of these are reregistrations and can also be found in the deletions section, the numbers show a continuing trend of around 25 new aircraft coming to Australia each month.
Looking at the reregistrations first, Bell Jetranger AHV first came to Australia at the beginning of October 1968 as a 206A model powered by an Allison 250-C18 317shp engine. After crashing in July 1970 it was rebuilt as a Bell 206B using the later Allison 250-C20 engine of 400shp. It then went to Papua New Guinea in December 1974 but returned two years later. After only two months in Australia it returned to PNG for a further 20 month stint with Rotor Work before finally returning to Australia on 16th October 1978. The registration has now been changed to EPQ with a new owner, Autosearch of Brisbane.
