Australian Airlines have appointed five General Managers to head divisions of the airline. Mr John Anderson, Customer Services; Mr Wally Mariani, Marketing and Sales; Mr Dave Wiltshire, Flight Operations; Ms Rita Compton, Human Resources; and Mr Bernie Smith, Maintenance and Engineering.

The Civil Aviation Authority has appointed. acting General Managers to head recently reorganised divisions: Mr Ron Cooper. Safety Regulation and Standards, Mr Graham Beer, Corporate Finance, Mr Mick Mayoh, Airways Development Projects, and Mr Wes Willoughby. Technical Services Division. Mr William Swingler has been reappointed Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Corporation. Mr Peter Williams has been appointed Managing Director of Lloyd Helicopters. Mr Alan. Wrigley has taken on the role of Special Adviser to the Federal Minister for Transport & Communications, the Hon Kim Beazley.
