Bizjet fleet numbers continue to drop as another three aircraft are sold overseas. For the twelve months ending 31/08/90 our Bizjet Directory showed 9 aircraft departing overseas. In the six months since, a further 11 aircraft have departed our region. Perhaps even more worrying is the fact that there are another 5 aircraft which are prime candidates for overseas sale.

Elders’ BAe 125-800B VH-IXL flew out of Essendon on 19/02 bound for Hawarden in the UK. Painted in the colours of Fosters Lager, this very distinctive BAe 125-8008 has been part of the Australian Bizjet scene since delivery to Essendon in November 1985. Before departing on ferry to the UK via the United States VH-IXL had its Fosters Lager marks removed. After refurbishment at Hawarden, VH-IXL will be delivered to an Italian operator. Another BAe 125-8008 to depart in this period was ZK-RJI of Robert James Investments of Auckland. ZK-RJI flew out of Sydney on 01/02 bound for the United States. In mid 1990 Hancock Exploration replaced their BAe 125-7008 VH-LRH with Challenger 600 VH-NKS. Though VH-LRH was later sold to an Illinois, USA based company it has since remained static at Perth Airport.
