The first of JapanAir/mes' two BAe Jetstream Super 31s on order is scheduled for delivery in early May, for official entry into service on 1 August. The second aircraft will be used for pilot training prior to entering service in November. Both will be used for regional services to link several southern Japanese cities serviced by JAL

Beech Achieves Record 1990 Sales:
Beechcraft have announced record sales during 1990, with the best profit performance since 1981 and the most aircraft delivered since 1982.
Beech sales during 1990 totalled $US1. 1bn, the first time in the company’s history that sales have passed the billion dollar mark. Pre-tax profits for the year were $US80m, up a very healthy 82% on 1989. During 1990 some 433 aircraft were delivered, Beech being the only aerospace company continuing to produce a full line of GA aircraft, ranging from piston powered singles to executive jets.
