Ministerial Statement to Outline Greater Helicopter Capability for Defence Force

The major statement of the Australian Parliament by the Defence Minister, Senator Robert Ray, due to be delivered soon, almost certainly will encompass an expansion of increased helicopter capability for the Australian Defence Force.

A decision to deal with future troop carrying, utility, surveillance and targeting and scout helicopters to improve the mobility of the ADF is considered a prime requirement by Australia’s Defence planners.
