Transcontinental Still Hoping for Start Up:

TransContinental Airlines is still confident that it will become the next airline to enter the Australian deregulated market.

In discussions recently with AA, Trans- Continental founder, Capt Alex King, stated that he hoped the airline would be operational in West Australia by next March with east coast services in place by late 1992. Operations in the West would be on the primary jet routes in direct competition with Ansett WA and possibly newcomer Australian Northwest, if that carrier should ever get airborne.
