Hushkits for the Fokker F28s RR Spey engines have been developed by the engine and airframe manufacturers in association with French airline TAT, a major operator of the type. The hushkit will allow compliance with /CAO Stage 3 noise requirements and will cost about $ US2.5m per aircraft

Astaas’s Ana Contract:
Further enhancing its reputation as one of the leading heavy maintenance organisations in the region, ASTA Aircraft Services of Avalon has signed a contract with Japan’s All Nippon Airways for the heavy maintenance of nine of its Boeing 7478.
The first 747 to undergo “Ageing Airplane Modifications” and structural and corrosion inspections has already arrived at Avalon; the remainder will follow next year. ASTAAS already has a contract with Boeing to per form similar work on five of ANA’s 747s and over the past three years has completed work on 7 Boeing 747s and three 7078.
