Nanchang CJ-6A- The Chinese Warbird
Recently I was offered the opportunity to fly the Chinese Air Force’s basic trainer, the Nanchang CJ-6A.
The offer was made by the joint owners, Graeme Carnage and Brian Candler who have two of the machines based at Canberra airport. A third aircraft is presently with Classic Aviation of Bankstown awaiting reassembly.
Graeme and Brian are rapidly becoming something of China experts where warbirds are concerned. They have developed good contacts in the PRL where as many will testify, the right contacts are everything.
