Masling Industries Set to Pioneer Power Line Repairs
Masling Industries and its joint venture partner, Haberfield of Florida, have been working for two and a half years to develop the technology in Australia to allow live power line repairs from an airborne helicopter.
Haberfield, who have gained experience from operations they carry out in the United States, are assisting Masling in developing Australian made products in their Cootamundra factory. Tony Masling, managing director of Masling Industries, expects the system to be operational within the near future to service the needs of the power authorities in Australia and the South Pacific. Operations will include insulator washing, the repair or replacement of insulators, spacers and dampers.
