Bae 146 Fleet News
Australian Airlink took delivery of BAe 146-100 VH-NJR at Adelaide on 23/02. As with the other three aircraft in the Airlink fleet the BAe 146 has been leased from National Jet Systems.
Australian Airlink required a fourth BAe 146-100 to cover new schedules effective from 29/03, when Canberra, Mt Isa and Proserpine were added to the network. VH-NJR msn 1152 first flew in 04/90 and was later registered as G-BRLN in prospect of a sale to National Air Charter, Indonesia, however that never took place. G-BRLN was then used by BAe as a company demonstrator initially flying in British Aerospace house colours. That was later changed to that of the projected BAe 146 version known as the RJ70. In these markings G-BRLN was seen at a number of major aviation events during 1991, including the Paris Salon.
