Queensland Govt Backs New Compass:

In return for having the ‘new’ Compass headquartered in Brisbane, the Queensland Government has guaranteed to invest $10m in the airline’s float if the full $60m is not raised.

In return Compass will guarantee to provide a minimum of twice daily services to Coolangatta from the southern states in addition to twice daily flights to Cairns and Townsville from Brisbane. State government officials will also be encouraged to fly the airline wherever possible while the move also guarantees around 350 job positions in the Brisbane area.
