A few additional callsigns for the RAAF from 81 Wing and 25 Squadron for your monitoring use (refer p. 91 Apr 92 AA).

From 81 Wg JACKSON and SEARCHER, while 25 Sqn has PHANTOM, DEMON, ANSON, MINOR, BREWSTER, HERO, DEV IL and FURY. As well as these, 1 Sqn has a single newie . . . PISTOL, while 6 Sqn is also using SONIC. 38 Sqn has been heard lately additionally using BRUMBY, BROLGA and BISON, while 1 FTS has been sporting the callsign WINJEEL with that type of aircraft.

Ultralight aircraft radio telephony callsigns now consist of the word “ULTRALIGHT” followed by an alphabetical character derived from a table, plus the last three numerals of the aircraft registration number. The table is: 0=A, l=B, 2=C, 3=D, 4=E, 5=F, 6=G, 7=H, 8=1, 9=J, 0=P, l=Q, 2=R, 3=8, 4=T, 5=U, 6=V, 7=W, 8=X and 9=Y.
