Beech Aircraft have recorded total sales for 1991 of a record $1.1bn. This impressive figure follows the delivery of 20 Beechjets, 35 single and twin engined Barons and 204 Bonanzas (pictured) during 1991. A company subsidiary has also been awarded a contract to maintain the 500-plus C-12s and U-21s in US military service. (Beechcraft)

Beech 1s now the premier company in the US general aviation market. • Fokker has announced that the company’s 1991 results after tax amounts to NLG 87m ($A60. 6m). Although the world’s airlines are still suffering from a depressed market, regional air transport, which is preeminently Fokker’s market segment is more encouraging. • Rolls-Royce ‘has reported reduce _ d profits for 1991 , reflecting a difficult year m the aerospace indust Sales fell by 4″. 6 to_£3. 5bn ($A7. 8bn) folloJ mg the recession m both the civil and military aerospace markets. Operating profit reduced to £335m ($A748. 6m) due to lower aerospace sales and margins. This is a result of continuing competitive pressures on engine selling pricesand to asubstantial fall in demand for civil spares.
