Eastwest Fokker F100s

Eastwest Airlines operating fleet is fairly well documented as consisting of a single 727-200 and seven BAe 146-300s. Not so well known is the fact that Eastwest was also the owner ofthree Fokker 100s.

The Fokker 100s were evidently ordered in 1987as an F28 replacement however they were never delivered and instead Eastwest added eight BAe 146-300s to its fleet. The three early production Fokker 100s came to light recently when Eastwest advertised them for lease after the Canadian airline, who was operating them, ceased flying. Details of the Eastwest Fokker 100s are as follows – PH-EZB msn 11246 flf 24/03/89 leased 15/04/89 to Inter Canadian of Montreal as C-FICY with fleet number 504; PH-EZC msn 11247 flf 25/04/89 leased 13/05/89 to Inter Canadian as C-FICW fin 505; PH-EZF msn 11263 flf19/10/89 leased 08/11/89 to Inter Canadian as C-FICL fin 506. When Inter Canadian, or Intair as it was latterly lmown, ceased scheduled operations in mid 1991 the three Eastwest Fokker 100s were flown to Phoenix, Arizona for storage. By 10/91 C-CICY, C-FICW and C-FICL had been reregistered N 602RP, N 602TR and N 602DG respectively. They have since been sold to ILFC as reported in last issue’s Stop Press section.
