Did you know that each day thousands of people fly over one of Australia’s most mysterious air crash sites without even knowing? Well they do!
We’re referring to the long lost Australian National Airways airliner Southern Cloud. Her final flight was on March 21 1931 when she had been scheduled for the routine Sydney to Melbourne morning service. Unfortunately due to extremely bad weather the Southern Cloud was blown well off track, eventually crashing in the rugged Snowy Mountains with the loss of eight lives.
