K92 Lessons Much the Same as Earlier; Adf Needs Aew&C and Chinooks!

The major joint exercise, Kangaroo 92 once again proved conclusively that to reasonably defend northern Australia in the air, at sea or on the ground the Australian Defence Force needs Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft and Chinook heavy lift helicopters.

The Chief of the Defence Force, General Peter Gration, made virtually these same points among others, verbally and in writing in recent times- as he did after the much bigger Kangaroo 89 exercise.
