The Dragonfly Has Flown

The first Cessna A-37B Dragonfly has flown.

On May 1 VH-DLO took to the air at Scone, NSW with Col Pay as pilot. Owned by David Lowry of Scone the small side by side jet (33ft wingspan) is the first of the six in the Australia/New Zealand region to take to the air following restoration. All the machines were recovered from Vietnam in recent years. Previously 68-10805, VH-DLO is one of a staggering 1,268 T/A-37s ofall models built between 1954 and 1977.
