As a budget limited CPL, don't be tempted into gaining never ending endorsements on aircraft types that mean little to you in a practical sense. Work hard to gain your basic CPL, then aim to be an instructor for a year or two at a minimum, gaining real world practical experience to the point where itis thenmostbeneficial to proceedto multi engine ratings and the all important Command Instrument Rating

Changes in the Aviation Industry during 1992.
Although, technically Australia has emerged from the recession, the recovery is as yet barely perceptible.
TI1e poor state of the economy both at home and overseas continues to hold back growth, and the aviation sector continues to suffer along with big and small businesses everywhere. Despite all this, the long term economic outlook remains positive, although it is clear that the recovery will be a lot weaker and take a lot longer than anyone expected.
Impact on the Flying School Industry
Because of the expense involved in flying training, it is one of the first things that many people will defer for a while if they are uncertain about where the next dollar is coming from. Flying schools are therefore very sensitive to fluctuations in the general economy, and have been having a harder time than many other businesses during the course of the “recession we had to have”.
