Embraer will offer synthetic vision technology (SVT) and a number of cabin enhancements as options on its Phenom 100 and 300 aircraft.
SVT will be integrated into the aircraft’s Prodigy flightdeck, and will allow the pilot to view a three-dimensional depiction of terrain, obstacles and traffic on the primary flight display. In the cabin, the Phenoms will feature an optional divider which provides for a real door on the lavatory and cuts down cabin noise levels. Also, a new inflight entertainment system has been developed, which features as XM satellite radio, ambient sound system, capability for passengers to listen to air traffic control (ATC) communications in the cabin, an interface for portable media players, and a VIP panel that allows cabin temperature regulation.

Embraer also said that the flight test program for the Phenom 300 was progressing well, with over 1000 flying hours completed, and was now in its final phase ahead of certification later this year. The Brazilian manufacturer also noted that it would display one of the five test aircraft at the NBAA Conference from October 20-22 in Orlando, Florida.
Meanwhile, the smaller Phenom 100, which entered service in December 2008, has now logged over 1000 flying hours with 45 aircraft in operation as of September 30.
