The importance of logbooks

Instructors see many logbooks. Some new and others with many hours logged. Some are a pleasure to sight while others make one wish they should stay closed.

Most instructors find that when it comes to upgrade time a check of the student’s logbook against the flight records will usually find a discrepancy in the hours. Then the task is to find that error. Grrr!
