The High Court in London has granted an injunction which will block cabin crew at British Airways from staging a number of strikes planned for late May and early June.
The Court agreed with an argument put forward by BA that the union organising the strike, Unite, had failed to provide the breakdown of a ballot by eligible members which authorised the strikes to take place. Union members had planned to walk out on May 22, with further stoppages planned for May 24-28, May 30-June 3 and June 5-9.

BA said that it was delighted with the results, and was planning to reinstate some of the services it had cancelled as part of its contingency planning for the strikes.
The strikes have been part of a long running dispute between BA and Unite over cabin crew pay and conditions, which saw the union stage walkouts in March, forcing BA to charter a number of aircraft to maintain its schedule.
