Singapore Airlines Flying College (SAFC) has announced the arrival of its first of five new Cessna Citation Mustangs and new simulators at its base at Sunshine Coast Airport.
“Singapore Airlines has invested more than $40 million in a new fleet of five Cessna Mustang C510 aircraft and two state-of-the-art flight simulators,” SAFC chairman Mak Swee Wah said. “This investment will continue to ensure the college is a superior training facility and reinforces our substantial and long term commitment to Queensland and international aviation.”

The five Mustangs will replace two Learjet 45s which SAFC has used to conduct advanced training for cadet pilots who go on to fly with Singapore Airlines. As well as its Sunshine Coast base, where it trains approximately 140 cadets each year, SAFC conducts basic flying training at Jandakot Airport.
